I started my UBAM business pretty recently and, to be honest, I originally only said “yes” because I wanted a discount on the books. 🤷‍♀️ But what I have found already is a passion for these books, EXCITEMENT to get them in the hands of children, and the opportunity to connect with parents like you. I am already starting to see this as a way to grow myself as a real business woman and share a product I really LOVE.

As a teacher, I want literacy to be of HUGE importance in every single family. This is so important to me because I see the impact home life has on kids. I can usually tell which students read with their families and which haven’t been exposed to much literature at home.

My goal as a teacher is to help kids learn; my goal as a book lady is to help PARENTS help their kids learn. 💕

Books! Stories! Adventure! Imagination! Explore!

Books can transform a child’s life. They can create wonder, amazement, bewilderment. They can transport you to new worlds and help you feel empathy for imaginary characters. They can teach you and help you grow. Encourage your children to read — but not just anything! Encourage them to ENJOY the books they read! A lot of kids struggle to read when they are told to, but will do it willingly if it’s something they chose to read. Tap into that and develop that sense of choice and interest in your children/students!
